Plants are the celebratory outbursts of seeds that have
successfully germinated. Look at this explosion of life,
shooting up from barren rock, wildly proclaiming victory
over seemingly impossible odds: the deposit of enough organic matter
to sustain life; the serendipitous placement of a seed
in just the right location; access to sunlight and water,
yet protection from lethal elements – and then, this eruption of life
climbing to the sky. Small miracles, indeed.
